Warm wood. Soft light. Everyday wellness.

Your bathroom is the first room you use every morning. A custom vanity built for your space, with a home for everything that's cluttering the counter, can make it the calmest room in the house.

Flooring before or after cabinets? Both work. The trade-offs are what matter.

A) Floor first: the finished floor runs wall to wall and cabinets sit on top. You keep flexibility if the layout changes later.

B) Cabinets first: the floor stops at the cabinets. It's common, but finishing at the toe kicks can add labour and extend the schedule.

Either way, make the call before install day and protect finished floors during install.

Builders and designers: which do you spec, and why?

Nine cabinet companies. One Final Draft.

A client interviewed nine before hiring this Burnaby family team. Designed and built in B.C. Installed by the same people.

5.0 on Google. BBB A+. As seen on HGTV.

Hosting next holiday season? Here's the math. 🕯️

Custom kitchens take 12 to 20 weeks from first consult to final touch-ups. Design this winter, build and install in the spring, and you're hosting in a kitchen you love next December.

Gather well. 🍁

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving from all of us at Final Draft Cabinetry.

A kitchen designed for the people you love has room for everyone: space at the island, a spot for every dish and enough counter for whoever's carving. We hope yours is full this weekend.

Fall is a good time for a kitchen reset. 🍂

If your mornings start with hunting for a lid, a spice or the good knife, that's a storage problem, and storage is something we design for: pantry pull-outs, drawer organizers and cabinets planned around how you cook.

Smarter storage. Calmer mornings. Serving Vancouver and Burnaby: finaldraftcabinetry.com/estimate

Saw the perfect green on Pinterest and can't find it in a cabinet catalogue? 🎨

Bring us the paint chip. Merit Kitchens can colour-match your cabinets to it, whether that's sage, forest, ink blue or a warm white you've been saving.

What colour would you pick? Tell us in the comments.

Quick test before you sign a cabinet quote: does it say which hinges, slides and pulls are included?

✔ Hinges: soft-close?
✔ Drawer slides: full-extension?
✔ Pulls: brass, nickel or black?

It's the part of your kitchen you'll touch every single day, so it shouldn't be a guess. (And yes, unlacquered brass is having a moment.)
