Small Construction Company (over 25 years in operation) with multiple project sites requires sub foreman/ labourer aspiring to become a foreman that manage his own jobs.
Waterproofing experience is an asset. Special consideration to those experienced in hot rubber waterproofing using Bakor or Hydrotech 6125 products.
Lead hand wanting to become a foreman would be ideal.
Duties include various tasks of the waterproofing and roofing industry, including installation of hot rubberized asphalt and flashing (training provided). Applicant must possess a basic general knowledge of the above duties, a willingness to learn and take direction is a must until consideration for advancement.
Applicant should possess the following:
Strong physical strength and stamina: min 50lbs lifting
Self-motivated, supportive to team environment and a willingness to learn and take charge of a job.
Good communication skills. English speaking
Ability to manage a variety of tasks under the direction of a supervisor
Must possess a general knowledge of basic hand tools used in the construction trades: circular saws, hammer drill, chippers, torches, melters, pressure washer, etc.
Must have reliable transportation,
**** a valid BC drivers license will be an asset
Punctuality and good work ethic a must
Work centered around downtown Vancouver and North Vancouver.
General Hours of work: day time hours
