Commercial lighting upgrades can be one of the simplest ways to improve efficiency and lower operating costs.

Lighting is often one of the largest energy uses in a facility – and one of the greatest opportunities for savings.

If you manage a building or facility, now is a great time to evaluate your lighting systems.

BC Hydro currently offers incentives for eligible lighting projects, including a 30% bonus incentive on qualifying business energy-saving incentive projects submitted by February 11, 2027.

Here’s why it matters:

💡 Lower operating costs – improve efficiency across your facility with lighting upgrades.

⚡ Save on your energy bill – take advantage of available incentives for eligible lighting projects.

🤝Work with a trusted partner — as a member of the BC Hydro Alliance of Energy Professionals, our technicians can help make your lighting project more energy efficient.

If you’re considering a lighting upgrade, now is the time to explore how these incentives can help reduce energy consumption, lower operating costs, and support long-term savings for your business.

📞 Contact us today to learn how we can help you optimize business energy-saving incentives before time runs out. Contact Houle at [email protected] or 1.844.GO.HOULE to get started.

We've reached the end of British Columbia Construction Association's ! To cap off another fantastic campaign, we took part in a with more than 110 crew members at Quw'utsun Valley Hospital on Vancouver Island, treating everyone to a well-deserved BBQ lunch, generously provided by our friends at B&C Food Distributors.

Quw'utsun Valley Hospital, formerly the Cowichan District Hospital Replacement Project, has made excellent progress over the past several months, with teams working to deliver this first fully electric hospital in BC, scheduled to open in late spring of 2027.

Currently, crews are completing final electrical rough-in work on Inpatient Unit (IPU) Level 5 and above, including Reach Out and Service Centre (SC) areas, while finishing activities continue throughout SC, Diagnostic and Treatment, and up to Level 5 of the IPU. Mechanical systems are being energized, and both fire alarm verification and lighting commissioning are underway. Energization of the entire building is now approximately two-thirds complete—a major milestone for the project.

We’re proud to be part of this impactful project, which will deliver world-class health care services to the Cowichan Valley and surrounding communities. A huge thank you to both our field and office teams for your continued dedication and hard work!

The Cowichan District Hospital Replacement Project is being delivered by the Nuts'a'maat Alliance, which includes Island Health, EllisDon Corporation, Parkin Architects, BC Infrastructure Benefits, and Infrastructure BC. For more information on the project, visit www.islandhealth.ca/newcdh.
