Today, we recognize that July 1st holds different meanings for different people.

As an Indigenous-owned business, we acknowledge that Indigenous Peoples have long cared for these lands with their own languages, cultures, laws, and traditions.

While many celebrate, we also reflect on our shared history and honour the resilience of Indigenous communities. We believe listening and learning are important steps toward reconciliation.

From all of us at Nature’s Outfitters Landscaping & Property Maintenance, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful day.

🧡 Today we recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day.

As an Indigenous-owned family business, we honour the cultures, traditions, knowledge, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.

Working outdoors each day reminds us of the importance of caring for the land and respecting the generations of people who have stewarded it before us.

Today is a day to learn, reflect, celebrate, and connect.

Happy National Indigenous Peoples Day.

The lessons, values, and memories shared between generations leave a lasting impact.

Today, we celebrate all fathers and father figures who help guide the way, support their families, and shape future generations.

Happy Father’s Day from Nature’s Outfitters Landscaping & Property Maintenance. 💚

🧡 National Indigenous History Month 🧡

Hello, this is Tara, and I am honoured to share this message.

These photos tell a story of family, identity, and resilience.

My father spoke our language fluently, but my grandfather chose not to teach it to me. He came from a generation that experienced a time when many Indigenous people were made to feel that speaking their language was something to hide rather than celebrate.

Like many Indigenous families, some things were lost along the way.

But today, that story is changing.

Our language is coming back to life through our younger generations. More young people are learning, speaking, and reclaiming what was nearly taken from us. Every word spoken is a step toward healing, remembering, and carrying our ancestors forward.

As I reflect on my Ojibway, Potawatomi, and Oneida roots this National Indigenous History Month, I am grateful for those who came before me and hopeful for those who will follow.

🧡

Taking the scenic route this Holiday Monday with Koa by our side. 🌲🐾
A little quiet, a little nature, and a reminder that slowing down is sometimes the most productive thing you can do.

Today, May 5th, we recognize Red Dress Day — the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

This is more than a date. It’s a reminder of lives taken, voices silenced, and families forever changed.

Indigenous women and girls face disproportionately high rates of violence — a reality that has gone on for far too long. Awareness matters. Education matters. Speaking their names matters.

At Nature’s Outfitters, we stand in support of Indigenous communities and honour the women and girls who are missing, murdered, and never forgotten.

Take a moment today. Learn. Listen. Share. Wear red.

Because awareness is where change begins.

❤️

May 4, 2018… May the fourth be with you — yeah, that one stuck.

Saw her and knew she wasn’t like the others. Hard to explain, just a different connection.

Picked her that day, but truth is, she picked me too.

Since then it’s been nothing but loyalty. She’s been by my side through it all.

8 years later… still my girl.

Happy Gotcha Day Koa Lina Bean ❤️🐾
