It was an absolute pleasure working alongside the talented students at Niagara College to design and build this beautiful pond and waterfall! The students worked incredibly hard throughout the project, and their enthusiasm and dedication were wonderful to see. They should all be incredibly proud of the role they played in creating this lasting feature for the new Student Oasis. We hope it brings enjoyment and a little piece of nature to the Niagara College community for many years to come!

Summer pond tip: 🌿
If your water starts to look cloudy, check the circulation first. Clear water depends on steady flow that keeps debris moving toward your filter instead of settling on the bottom.
Performing a few minutes of weekly system checks can help prevent more significant issues later.

Cloudy pond water in early summer is often caused by overfeeding fish and too many nutrients in the water.

A simple fix is feeding only what your fish can eat in a few minutes and making sure no more than half of the pond surface is covered with plants.
This balance helps reduce algae and keeps oxygen levels healthy as temperatures rise.

🌞 Summer heat can be tough on your pond.

Warm water holds less oxygen, which can really stress out your fish. Pro tip: add an aerator or fountain to boost oxygen levels, and grow some water plants for shade.

Your fish will thank you on those hot days!
