⛪ A Place That Means So Much to Our Family 🤍🇵🇹

Some places are beautiful because of their architecture, while others are beautiful because of the stories they hold. Visiting Igreja de Nossa Senhora dos Milagres in Arrifes was especially meaningful because this church has deep ties to my wife’s family and their roots here in São Miguel.

Standing outside this incredible landmark and sharing its significance with our children made the moment unforgettable. Seeing their excitement as they learned about a place that has been part of their family’s history was something truly special. It wasn’t just another stop on our journey—it was a chance to connect them with where part of their story began.

Moments like these remind us that family heritage is more than history—it’s something to be experienced, shared, and passed on to the next generation. Watching our kids appreciate the place that means so much to their family’s roots made this visit one we’ll always cherish.

Following Portugal throughout this World Cup while exploring the country itself has been something our family will never forget. From gathering with passionate fans in town squares to hearing the cheers echo through the streets, every match brought us even closer to the incredible pride, culture, and spirit that make Portugal so special.

Although this tournament has come to an end for Portugal, the memories we’ve made will last a lifetime. Thank you to the players for inspiring a nation, and thank you to the people of Portugal for reminding us what it truly means to support your country with passion, heart, and unity.
