The last few months have absolutely awesome and we have turned out loads of panels from our shop, the majority designed and built by ourselves but some also built for other companies, we compliment the panel shop with full PLC, automation services and installation. So we are another step closer on our 1800amp 600volt service for a large Lobster pound, 7km of 12470volt 3 phase power lines, 1800amp Square D QED switchboard with 1800amp main breaker and 1800amp generator breaker,, now the real fun begins, transferring over the 1000amps of 120/240volt single phase power and balancing everything, along with hooking up over 800amps of new chillers, pumps and air blowers, not to mention the large PLC system to monitor and control everything and give the customer remote monitoring and alerts of all the equipment.

Another pump room coming along nicely, all these pumps will be connected ected to a PLC controlled panel and then added to a much larger network where the customer will be able to monitor and control 5 pump houses on the site from 1 location, all.the pumps will.have Siemens management relays to monitor running currents.

Today was a good day, we got our customers fiberglass curing room up and running. The entire process control was designed and installed by ourselves WG Electrical . There are a few bugs to work out and some extras the client has requested but all in all its running and almost got to temperature before I had to leave, the System runs on a Electric with a , the heating controllers are Carlo Gavazzi Automation .

This week had a great outcome with this upgrade, working with Eddy Group Limited we took this old system and propelled it into the 21st century with a fantastic new -1500 plc and , the last plc system had worked for nearly 40 years but the old Westinghouse PLC was getting worn out and in need of an upgrade, now with the panel sealed up the dust inside should be minimal. This week we teamed up with Schneider Electric and a local PEI contractor to turn out this absolute beauty. Working in Charlottetown PEI with the buildings electrical contractor we replaced this 3000 amp switchboard and installed a brand new state of the art Masterpact MTZ circuit breaker. The electrical contractor disconnected all the out going circuits and paved the way for Schneider and ourselves to remove the old switchboard and old Federal pioneer 3000 amp H3 circuit breaker. With some onsite custom bus work and some controls we left the site with a new I-Line breaker line up in just 2 and half days from time of power disconnection to power up. The time even included testing Maritime Electrics load shed controls that we were tasked with re-installing onto the new breaker. The MTZ breaker has some fantastic features, the breaker can be remote controlled securely from a cell phone as long as your within the range of Bluetooth. Press the button on the breaker connect your phone from the App leave the room, enter the predetermined pattern on you phone and the breaker will close, and don't worry about security the app is secured with passwords and you can only connect to the breaker once the button on the front has been pressed and it's only active for a very short time to allow connection. No worries about hacking or anyone connecting remotely. This is a fantastic solution for where the arc flash is considered to high to close the breaker from the front of the breaker.
