We were contracted to restore a 140 year old house in Lunenburg NS. The work included, restoring old floor boards, bathroom renovations, installing bead boards over old plaster walls, new crown mouldings, door and window casings, baseboards and exterior restoration of foundation, wood siding, and more...
The challange was to save and enhance most of old wood, trims, siding, or to sum it up " Retain the old Charm!"
We undertook the challenge of PRESERVING original architectural details, while updating functionality with modern amenities.

This project is most complete..
Soon the house will be featured on a TV show...wow!

We just completed the restoration of these 140 years old Soft Wood Floor Boards. The challenge of this project was huge, yet after almost 22 days of persistence and dedication, the result is super rewarding.

We used rough and reclaimed floor boards to repair the floor. Each board had to to be planed on sight to match the thickness of the existing boards. Then the entire floor had to undergo a vigorous sanding. After which we white washed the entire floor and clear coated them with DURASEAL Oil Base polyurethane.

The cost of this project was atleast 40% less than laying a brand new floor, but at the expense of loosing the charm, warmth and character of a natural floor.

The floors were sanded ( took me 3 days) and Stained with Min Wax - Special Walnut. The floors will finally have a Matte finish
