The bats were out, but our work wasn’t finished.

Following the successful bat exclusion at LSK Elementary School, our team got to work cleaning and disinfecting the interior areas affected by the bats.

This video shows the next part of our job: thoroughly cleaning the affected spaces and surfaces that staff and students come into contact with, helping prepare the school for their return.

When schools officials from LSK elementary school from Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation called us to help protect the school, staff and children we were happy to help.

The video captures some of the special equipment, training, specialized materials and hard work that goes into protecting a commercial building from bats.

It took a week of exclusion work to properly seal up the school, but once all was in place, our one way doors went to work. We watched as the colony funnelled out of the building in the evening as well as watched them try to return to no avail.

Success!!!!!

After we confirmed that the bat activity has stopped through all access points we were tasked with cleaning and disinfecting the area(s) affected by the bats intrusion into interior. (Another video to follow)

We would like to say Miigwech (thank you) to the Council and School officials from Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation for trusting us to make the school safe for them again.

Found a bat in your house? Your first call should be to a professional.

If you need to act before help arrives, keep kids and pets away, never handle bats with bare hands, and always keep the bats head pointed away from you.

Solving bat problems often takes special products, equipment and skill. This was the Trifecta of difficulty.

The team is up on a steel roof installing Ridge Guard along the ridge line, (with the assistance of an 80’ boom lift) helping maintain proper ventilation while closing off small gaps bats and other wildlife can use to get inside. Ridge Guard is a perforated metal product that protects the access to ventilation areas from animals but allows airflow to continue. A great product for metal roof exclusions.

Happy Mother's Day

Today, it took experience, knowledge, and the right technology to find a baby raccoon that had slipped into a cavity behind the kitchen drywall.

Using thermal imaging, we were able to locate the baby raccoon without making any unnecessary holes in the walls.

Once we confirmed the exact location, we carefully opened the drywall, safely removed the fifth baby, and reunited all five babies with their mama.
