Brantford, adding square footage is easy. Making it feel natural, beautiful, and functional takes planning.

For this home, we added a new sunroom designed around natural light, warmth, and everyday family living. The vaulted ceiling, oversized windows, real wood beams, new engineered hardwood, custom cabinetry, and coffee bar all work together to make the room feel comfortable, intentional, and connected to the rest of the home.

But there is a lot happening behind the pretty finishes too.

This project included solar panels, a new electric boiler system, a heat pump, and a major step toward complete electrification of the home. The goal was not just to make the house look better, but to make it perform better for years to come.

Outside, the MAC Architectural Metal siding in teak gives the addition a clean, modern look while keeping the exterior durable and low maintenance.

We also built a new front mudroom, giving the family a more practical entry point and better everyday storage, but that one deserves its own post.

Who says function and style can’t live under the same roof?

This Brantford sunroom addition was designed as a place for the family to relax, gather and simply enjoy being together.

The vaulted ceiling, oversized windows and real wood beams bring warmth, character and an abundance of natural light into the room. Every detail was considered, from the placement of the beams and lighting to the wood stain, custom cabinetry and dedicated coffee bar.

Modern functionality and sustainability were also important parts of the design. Solar panels, an electric boiler system and a heat pump were incorporated to improve comfort, energy efficiency and long-term performance throughout the home.

On the exterior, MAC Architectural Metal siding in a teak finish gives the addition a distinctive architectural look. The metal siding adds warmth and texture while offering a durable, low-maintenance exterior with a long service life, helping combine modern design with a more sustainable approach to building.

The result is a space that feels intentional, comfortable and connected to the way this family lives every day.

We also added a new front mudroom to the home, but we’re saving that transformation for a future feature.

Demo is officially underway, and we’re getting started from the basement right up through the main floor and upper level.

Sometimes it only takes one detail to make the whole space feel finished.

We built this covered deck for a client last year, and recently came back to install the new tongue-and-groove ceiling.

The deck was already usable. The furniture was there. The TV was up. The space worked.

But the ceiling completed it.

It brought warmth, texture, and a more finished feeling to the whole outdoor living area. Instead of feeling like a covered deck, it now feels like an extension of the home.
