Our team recently completed a full roof replacement on the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in , replacing the shingles with CertainTeed Landmark shingles in Moire Black, as well as upgrading the roof ventilation with Ventilation Maximum VMax 301 roof vents.

Last week our team completed a shingle roof replacement on Harmony United Church in Brantford, removing 2 layers of old shingles on half of the building, one layer on the other half, and installing Certainteed Landmark shingles in the colour “Heather Blend”.

Can’t say enough about the incredible hard work and effort from our team this past week, replacing an old cedar shake roof with DaVinci Select composite cedar shake on this home in Dundas, ON.

The crew pushed hard through a heat wave and an air quality advisory, worked around a challenging landscape for access and debris handling, and still wrapped this project up ahead of schedule and completely transformed this home!

Old cedar shakes were removed, the entire roof deck was protected with a high temperature rated ice and water shield underlayment, and DaVinci Select shakes in the Aged Cedar colour were installed, along with 6 solar attic fan vents.

Before and after replacing a skylight on a mansard style roof.

It’s important to ensure skylights are installed to manufacturer specifications to prevent leakage or condensation issues. In this case, a low quality skylight had been installed poorly. There was a massive gap between the makeshift backpan, and even exposed wood where shingles had been loosely installed behind it.

We removed the existing skylight, installed a new curb, sealed it with a self adhesive air and vapour barrier, installed a proper flashing system and a new Velux curb mounted skylight. This solution will provide the customer with peace of mind and a Velux 20 year no leak guarantee.

Before and after a full roof replacement on this home in Hamilton, ON.

This project involved removing the old shingles and cedar siding on the dormers, new plywood sheeting on the roof deck, followed by a full Certainteed SureStart 4 Star Plus roofing system, including a full underlayment system, new metal flashings and vents, and Certainteed Landmark Pro shingles in Colonial Slate. Lastly, Portsmouth 7” shake siding in Storm Grey was installed on the three dormers.

When you’re building a custom home, it’s important to protect it with a quality roofing system and to get it closed in as quickly as possible. While this home is still waiting for the timber framing for the porches and cabana, we completed the rest of the roof to keep the structure dry and the project moving forward.

This project features Owens Corning Duration shingles in Estate Grey, a full underlay system, and ridge venting throughout.

Great job by the team to start off the week on this beautiful west Brant estate, featuring Certainteed Landmark shingles in Weathered Wood.

Care was taken to protect and thoroughly clean up this immaculate property during the process of removing and replacing the roof. Old shingles were removed, a full Certainteed underlay system consisting of ice and water shield as well as synthetic underlayment was installed, along with new steel drip edge, vents, and valley flashings.
