It’s not very often we encounter a residential roofing project that takes us an entire week to complete, but when we do, the finished product is a sight to see.
This project involved many complex elements; removing old cedar shake roofing, while having to take extreme care to protect a full stucco exterior, multiple composite decks, gardens and windows. Limited access for debris management, even with the assistance of our Equipter self propelled trailer. Dozens of intricate flashing details, a skylight replacement, and a section of flat roof. Even the pool house was a full day operation.
Choosing the right product for this home was no easy task, either. The client wanted to find a product that carried the same weight and prestige as the cedar shake we were taking off in order to preserve the curb appeal of the home, while still keeping costs in check. After researching and exploring options from shingles, to steel, to composite roofing, we found the one, and the finished product is nothing short of stunning.
Windsor shingles in Midnight Black, along with their high profile EZ-Ridge capping, give this home a bold and stunning contrast to the beautiful stucco exterior, with a heavy appearance that is already the talk of the street. With sleek new black trim details at all stucco intersections for a clean finish, upgraded solar attic fan vents for improved ventilation, and a new Velux skylight, this home looks incredible and is ready to face the elements for decades to come. We can’t wait to see it after they have all new 6” eaves troughs installed next week!
