How do we continue to learn, improve and raise the standard of what we do?

For Alair’s project managers, it starts with understanding the details behind the build. Why building assemblies work. How materials and construction methods perform in practice. And how the right processes and decisions can influence the outcome of a project.

At our 2026 PM Summit in Denver, these questions were at the center of hands-on building science training, technical discussions and workshops. Project managers explored real-world construction challenges, examined different approaches and gained insights they can apply to their work in the field.

Our vendor partners brought another valuable perspective, sharing their technical expertise, product knowledge and experience from across the industry. These conversations created space to ask questions, exchange feedback and explore solutions to the challenges our teams encounter on projects.

Ultimately, improving how we build requires more than experience alone. It takes curiosity, a willingness to challenge what we know and a commitment to continually refining our approach.

That’s the value of investing in technical knowledge and bringing industry expertise into the conversation.

Building a home takes a lot of people, moving parts and coordination. Our Project Managers are the ones helping bring it all together.

They’re managing timelines, coordinating trades, communicating with clients and navigating the unexpected along the way. Their job is to keep the project moving while making sure the details don’t get lost in the process.

In Brandon, Cody Silvius and Emma McKay are the Project Managers behind the builds, helping bring our clients’ homes to life from start to finish. We’re lucky to have them on the team!

The team is working to get the exterior wrapped up before Manitoba’s cold temperatures arrive.

Set against lake views, Northern Lights and prairie sunrises, this 4,000 sq. ft. vacation home was designed to connect with the landscape through thoughtful spaces, natural elements and sustainable features.

From the greenery-filled conservatory to the observatory overlooking the water, every detail brings the outdoors in.

With Project Managers from across Canada and the U.S., PM Summit creates a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from industry experts, strengthen processes, and bring practical insights back to our local teams and projects.

The Story Behind the Builder

Every home has a story. So does the person helping build it. Before becoming a Regional Partner with Alair Homes, Mike Peters was on a different path, gaining experiences that would eventually lead him here. Finding Alair wasn’t simply about the next step in his career.
