There’s a lot to be thankful for this year.

At Legacy North, we’re incredibly grateful for the talented team behind every project, the skilled trades and trusted partners we have the pleasure of working alongside, and the clients who put their trust in us to bring their visions to life.

Building something special takes more than great craftsmanship. It takes great people, strong relationships and a shared commitment to doing things right.

We’re fortunate to work with some of the best, creating homes, spaces and lasting legacies together.
From all of us at Legacy North, we wish you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!

We’re back on Lake Rosseau, where you recently saw the 130-year-old log cabin we’re helping preserve. This time, we’re working on the main cottage.

Years of sun exposure and the Muskoka elements have taken their toll, and this beautiful log home is ready for some much-needed attention.

Working alongside Wood Restorations, we’re carefully bringing the logs and exterior back to life while preserving the character that makes this cottage such a statement on Lake Rosseau.

The goal isn’t to make it look new. It’s to protect its legacy and make sure it continues to stand proudly on the lake for years to come.

Rapid fire! 🎙️🔥

We gave Andrew Keith just 5 seconds to answer some of the really important questions about life in Muskoka.

Lake Rosseau or Lake Joseph?
Waterfront or 100 acres?
Old Muskoka cottage or new build?
Boat-access 3 acres or an island with 60' of waterfront?

No overthinking. Just pick one.

What would you choose?

Another teaser from Out of Office! 🎙️

What does it actually cost per square foot to build a custom home in Muskoka?

It sounds like a simple question, but the answer isn’t quite so simple.

In this clip, Steven sits down with Andrew Keith to talk cost per square foot, what those numbers really mean, and why they don’t always tell the whole story.

Here’s a quick sound bite before the full episode drops Wednesday morning.

Now this is a legacy worth preserving.

At more than 130 years old, this original log cabin on Lake Rosseau has been part of the Muskoka landscape for generations.

Along with building new homes, we love taking on complicated restoration projects like this. It’s about understanding what can be preserved, what needs to be rebuilt, and how to give an important piece of Muskoka history another century of life.

We’re working alongside Wood Restorations to carefully restore this incredible cabin while protecting the character and craftsmanship that make it so special.

Building a legacy doesn’t always mean starting from scratch. Sometimes, it means carrying one forward.

Something new is brewing at Legacy North. 🍺🎙️

Episode 1 of Out of Office is coming soon.

We sat down with Andrew Keith of Team Muskoka Realty to talk buying, building and living in Muskoka. From choosing the right property and understanding what you can actually build, to the realities of the Muskoka market and some very expensive mistakes worth avoiding.

And because good conversations are better over a local b**r, we cracked a Tread Lightly from Muskoka Brewery while we did it.

Episode 1: Tread Lightly Before You Buy.

Coming soon.

Want to be a guest on an upcoming episode?

We’re looking for builders, business owners, local personalities, industry experts and interesting people with a story to tell from Muskoka, Simcoe County and the surrounding communities.

Think that’s you, or know someone we should have on? Send us a message!

We’re known for creating homes that are built to last for generations.

This time, we’re helping preserve one that already has.

We’re continuing work on the original pioneer home in Scout Valley, Orillia. It’s a unique restoration project where the goal isn’t to change what makes this building special, but to help ensure it can continue standing for generations to come.

Our team is working to preserve the historic exterior while adding important structural elements inside to strengthen and protect the building.

It’s a different kind of project for Legacy North, but one we’re incredibly proud to be trusted with.

Sometimes building a legacy means creating something new. Sometimes it means preserving the legacy that’s already there.
