Root intrusion and a missing filter can quietly undermine a septic system.

During a service call in Caledon, we found the outlet baffle needed attention, and the effluent filter was missing. We supplied and installed a new baffle and filter to restore proper flow and protect the system from blockages. With everything back in place, only treated effluent will now reach the leaching bed, helping prevent early failure and keeping things running smoothly.

It's easy to overlook what you can't see underground. In Bolton, we got a call from a homeowner who wanted to keep their septic system running smoothly. During our visit, we supplied and installed a new effluent filter in the outlet baffle of their septic tank. This filter keeps grease, scum, and solids from clogging up the leaching bed and protects the system for years to come.

Sometimes a simple clog turns out to be something much bigger. During this project in The Blue Mountains, we found a curved and broken outlet pipe that was causing water to pool in the septic system.

We replaced the damaged section, reconnected the footer pipe, and made sure every run was pressure washed and snaked clean. After pumping out the tank and patching it to the right level, we used the EarthBuster process to break up compacted soils and help the field drain better. Everything was backfilled, topped with new soil, and seeded, so the yard can recover naturally.

This job showed how a thorough approach can bring life back to a tired septic bed.
