A couple of custom tables finished up and delivered! 🙌

Two different wood types, two different styles, and we're really happy with how both turned out!

First up is this Wormy Maple dining table and matching bench. The table measures 72" × 38" with a straight edge and sits on our 28" Mirrored C legs with the matching bench sits on our 16" Trapezoid legs.

We finished them both with a Cappuccino hardwax oil, giving the maple a warm, natural look while bringing out all that unique character in the wood.

Next is this beautiful Black Walnut bookmatched dining table!

Measuring 84" × 40", this table features a straight-edge. We finished it with a premium hardwax oil and paired it with our 28" Flowy X base.

Two completely different looks, but both built to last and made to fit their new homes.🏡

We had to share this recent delivery! 🤎 A custom walnut dining set, coffee bar, and
cabinetry, all built in our shop.

The 84" × 42" black walnut table has a straight edge, a polyurethane finish, and 28" Fractal parallelogram legs. It’s paired with a 72" × 16" walnut bench on matching 16" legs, plus eight solid walnut Duke chairs finished to match.

The coffee bar is made with solid walnut countertops, white painted doors and end panels, and soft-close drawers and hinges. A cozy spot for that first cup of coffee ☕

Thanks to this family for trusting us with their custom pieces. We hope they enjoy them for

📢 Shop Update!

A busy shop means we’ve got lots to show you… but not always a lot of quiet time to film these updates with the machines running! We’re trying though!

We hope everyone had an awesome summer. We’ve certainly been keeping busy here at Fractal Designs!

There are lots of projects on the go right now, including custom tables, a bed frame, wooden table legs, and plenty more coming through the shop.

Fractal Designs is looking for a full-time shop hand to join our crew!

If you’re someone who likes working with your hands, learning new things, and staying busy, we’d love to hear from you.

Woodworking experience is a bonus, but definitely not required. We’re happy to teach the right person — attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are what matter most.

The job will include things like:
• Helping out around the shop
• Moving and organizing materials
• Assisting with woodworking and production
• Keeping things clean and organized
• Learning different parts of the build process
• Basically, helping keep the shop running smoothly

We’re a small business, so everyone pitches in and gets involved. No two days are exactly the same!

Black Walnut Delivery day🔥

First up was this stunning 84" × 40" bookmatched Black Walnut table,
complete with a natural live edge and paired with our custom 26" × 48" Starburst Pedestal Base. The grain on this one speaks for itself.

Our second delivery was an 84" × 40" dimensional Black Walnut table with a clean straight edge, finished off with our signature 28" Flowy X Legs.Timeless, and built to be used every single day.

We love knowing these tables will be at the center of family dinners, holiday gatherings, and everyday moments.

Black Walnut always has a way of catching your eye 👀—and this custom furniture set is a great example.

Starting with a 60” × 36” bookmatched Black Walnut live edge dining table, finished with a matte natural hardwax oil that enhances the wood’s rich character while maintaining a natural look. It’s paired with our 28” Butterfly Furniture Base and a matching 60” live edge bench on 16” Z legs.

To complete the space, we also built a matching 60” × 15” Black Walnut live edge entryway table on 34” × 12” Z legs, along with a custom solid Black Walnut console table featuring 3” × 3” post legs and two shelves.

From the dining room to the entryway, every piece was custom built to complement the next 🙌

From rough lumber to a custom Sphere Pedestal Table Base.💫

This one starts the same way most good projects do: picking the right wood for the job. Once the material is selected, we glue everything up into one solid block big enough for the final shape.

From there, it heads over to our 4th axis CNC router, where the block gets carved down into the sphere pedestal shape. Watching a square block turn into something round never really gets old.🙌

After the CNC work is done, it’s back to the human side of things: sanding, refining, inspecting, and making sure every surface is ready for finish.

And voilà — a custom solid wood sphere pedestal table base, built from start to finish in the shop.

A little bit of technology, a lot of sanding, and a final piece that definitely makes a statement.
