Municipal Group of Companies

Meet Rock Grenier, General Superintendent at Dexter Québec inc., part of the Municipal Group of Companies.

In just over six years with the company, Rock has progressed from Foreman to Superintendent and now General Superintendent. Today, he helps oversee a major 44.9-kilometre road project on Lot 3 of Québec’s Route 389, involving five bridges, dozens of culverts, and approximately 160 people.

For Rock, the greatest rewards come from solving complex problems, building a strong team, and seeing the project advance every day.

“We have to find solutions. We are problem solvers—that’s our job.”

From the project’s earliest days—when much of the site was accessible only by ATV—to the road taking shape today, Rock has been there to guide the work.

Kennedy Caissie's New Car!

Congratulations to Kennedy Caissie from MBW Courier on winning a brand-new 2026 Honda Civic! As part of our employee referral program, Kennedy was automatically entered into a draw for a brand-new 2026 Honda Civic after referring a friend to the company.

We were on hand this past Tuesday to present the new set of wheels to a very surprised and excited Kennedy. Thanks to everyone for making this program such a big success!

Last week, members of our Human Resources team were proud to join Munder Al Taher at the Africadian Empowerment Academy's closing ceremony. Munder worked with Dexter Construction throughout the summer season, gaining real-life experience and hands-on trade skills in the process.

We were honoured to have him as part of our team! Pictured from left: Senator Wanda Thomas Bernard, Munder Al Taher, Emily Siepierski, and Paige Carruthers.

Please visit https://africadian.org/ to learn more about the AEA, its programs, and its impact on advancing education in our communities.

Proud to share this amazing story about Chad Stonehouse and his incredibly brave actions last week.

Today I had the privilege of presenting a Certificate of Courage and Bravery to Chad Stonehouse in recognition of his selfless actions during a house fire in Wallace early Wednesday morning.

Shortly after 7:00 a.m., while working at the Wallace wharf, Chad noticed smoke rising over the hill. He immediately went to investigate.

When he arrived, he discovered that the back of a home and the garage were already engulfed in flames. Believing someone inside the home, Chad knocked repeatedly on the doors and windows until he woke the elderly couple, who had no idea their home was on fire. He helped them get out safely, while one of his co-workers moved their vehicle to a safe location.

Even after ensuring the couple was safe, Chad went door-to-door to alert neighbouring residents so they could evacuate if the fire spread.

Within minutes, the Wallace Fire Department arrived on scene, bringing the fire under control and protecting neighbouring homes from catching fire.

Chad, who lives just outside Amherst with his beautiful wife Angela and works for Dexter Construction (Municipal Group), acted without hesitation. His quick thinking, courage, and concern for others made a tremendous difference that morning, likely saving the lives of this older couple.

Thank you, Chad, the people of Cumberland North and area are proud to recognize your bravery.

What an incredible day at the 2026 Waste Adventures & Touch-A-Truck event! 🎉

We were proud to be a part of this year’s event alongside other industry leaders, helping bring hands-on learning and interactive experiences to the community.

It was great to see so many families and young visitors exploring equipment, learning more about waste and recycling, and connecting with the teams that keep our communities running every day!
