May 5th is Red Dress Day in Canada.

We honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people, and stand with the families and communities still seeking truth, justice, and accountability. The red dress represents lives that mattered, voices that should still be here, and those that must never be forgotten.

More exciting developments for Barren Lands First Nation! ⬇️

Following the recent opening of the Motel & Diner, work is well underway on the community’s new full-service grocery store, set to open this year.

The 12 modular units are now in place, with on-site connections currently happening. Once complete, the space will include a grocery store, deli and food prep area, and a pharmacy 🛒

This project supports local jobs, improves access to essential services, and keeps opportunity within the community. 🤝

We are grateful to be part of it.

From concept to community impact 🤝

Take a deeper look at the Barren Lands First Nation Motel & Diner. The motel features 12 fully equipped rooms across three modules, while the two-module diner offers a full-service kitchen, dining space, takeout, along with key amenities to support both guests and staff.

More than a build, this project creates local jobs, supports economic growth, and provides a welcoming space for people to gather. 🏗️

This week in Barren Lands First Nation has been something we will never forget! ✨ The people, the energy, the landscape. Truly something special.

The Diner and Motel are now open, and seeing the turnout and support from the community at this week’s soft opening says everything!

A sincere thank you to Chief, Council, and the entire community for welcoming us and trusting us to be apart of this project.

This is what we do it for! 🫶

As sports playoffs heat up across Canada, it’s a reminder of the role these spaces play in bringing communities together. 🏒

Community centres and arenas are more than just buildings, they’re places to connect, compete, and belong. We’re proud to help build spaces that keep communities strong.
