Don't touch them! Don't walk on their root base Don't multch them, spray them. If you do multch no more then 1 inch deep. Oak trees are beautiful. Their known for being mighty. But they are the biggest sissy in the woods. They have very little tollance for abuse of any sort. Especially pruning, do not prune them untill they are dormant.
