They have been married since 1972, have three grown children, and now three grandchildren. Ken is a graduate of the University of Guelph, with a B.Sc. in Agriculture; Maureen is a retired R.N. They live on a hobby farm in Oro-Medonte, where Ken raises horses. In 1990 Ken became owner and franchisor of Turf King; As a result, Turf King Barrie became head office. Ken has taught lawn care for profess
ionals at a local community college for 10 years, and is often consulted by different levels of government on effective ways to reduce the use of pesticides in our environment. Ken is hands-on with lawncare in Barrie; with his experience and training, he has the capability to make on-the-spot assessments and decisions.
