Can't make a cake without the flour. All it takes is one item to put a shutdown in jeopardy. To often 8-9 weeks turns into 10-11 and bam, we missed shutdown.

Oh and then comes let's change the spec or try something different. This adds risk, complexity, and extra costs.

Now more than ever planning is key.

It might be time to take the old AnAS off the wall and move into something more this century. Several platforms old. Gone are they days of working on integration in to older systems.
