This place kept backing up, so I took a look and found the drain was blistered and starting to cave in. No saving it — it had to be replaced.

Called in for the dig, swapped out the pipe, city came by for the inspection, and then we backfilled and got the yard looking like we were never even there.

Dig number 40 since moving to Canada five years ago… who’s counting though 😅

On to the next one 👨‍🔧

Annual drain maintenance is one of those things people don’t usually think about until it’s too late. I’ve seen how quickly grease, food, soap, and all sorts of build-up can slow a drain down or even cause a full blockage.

That’s why I recommend giving your drains a good clean periodically with a jetter. A proper jet clean clears everything out, keeps the water moving the way it should, and helps prevent those messy backups that end up costing a lot more in the long run.

Think of it like an oil change for your plumbing — a little maintenance now saves big headaches later.

Flashback to last winter ❄️ A store was flooded from a storm drain being backed up in the parking lot. Hot water jetted a hole through the blockage until it finally gave way 💦 Problem solved.
