Behind the delivery: what does it take to get a panelized home across Western Canada?

Our Inventory and Logistics Supervisor, Jorge Escobar, breaks down what happens after a wall panel leaves our Louis Creek yard. A single project can mean a dozen+ truckloads, each with its own permit, es**rt requirements, and route plan, through BC, Alberta, and Yukon rules that all differ. This wildfire season made it real: an overnight fire reroute added 4 hours to a Yukon delivery, and a closed access road meant personally walking culverts and grades before a single truck moved.

None of it is glamorous. But route planning, permit paperwork, and daily fire advisory checks are the difference between a project that stays on schedule and one that doesn't.

Meet Deeparsh, IT & AI Coordinator at Paradigm.

Deeparsh keeps our systems running and builds the AI and automation tools that make everyone's work easier. He graduated from TRU with a Bachelor's in Computer Science, made the Dean's List throughout his degree, and held research positions at the university. Before Paradigm, he built a drug discovery app that lets chemistry students test molecules, now used by over 200 students.

Four years in the field, and the last few focused on AI. At Paradigm, that means web apps, automations, and tools that cut out complexity so our teams can focus on building.

Behind the delivery: what actually decides whether a construction project finishes on time?

Ask most people and they'll say design, or the crew, or the build quality. Our Inventory and Logistics Supervisor, Jorge Escobar, would tell you it's logistics; the part nobody photographs and nobody notices until it fails. Earlier this year, an overnight wildfire shift closed the highway on a Yukon delivery, adding a 4-hour detour. On a separate project, an unassessed back road meant walking the culverts and grades himself before a single wheel moved.

Neither had anything to do with design or crew skill. Both came down to routing, timing, and communication, the invisible work that happens weeks before anyone breaks ground. As prefab construction scales across Canada, that hidden layer only gets more important, not less.

Jorge holds a Bachelor's in Marketing and a Master's in Supply Chain Management, with years of experience supplying major retail partners across the US and Canada, including Ge**er Children's. He grew up in El Salvador, where his family still runs a certified organic coffee farm that exports beans to the US today.

Behind the tech: how does a wall panel go from a design file to a job site?

At Paradigm, a panel exists as information long before it exists as timber. Every dimension, opening, and fastener position has to be described precisely enough for a saw and a robot to act on, with more than a dozen handoffs between a designer's screen and a crane hook.

Deeparsh Singh Dang takes you behind the software, the naming conventions, and the factory floor systems that turn a design file into a finished wall, tracked from the CNC saw to a robot cell to a crane on site in BC.
