We're excited to share that Collab Contractors has received Gold in the Home Builder category of the 2026 Readers' Choice Awards! 🥇

A sincere thank you to everyone in our community who took the time to vote and support us.

Collab has grown a great deal in a relatively short time, and we're grateful for the homeowners, trades, industry partners, and people who have helped us along the way.

With October being RenoMark Month, we'd also like to congratulate the many fellow Home Builders' Association and Renovators' Council members being recognized across this year's awards. There are some excellent companies doing great work throughout our region, and it's encouraging to see that work celebrated.

We're proud to be part of this community and look forward to the projects and relationships still ahead.

Thank you again from everyone at Collab!

We take a lot of pride in being a Waterloo Region company. Our team works here, our trade partners and suppliers are largely local, and the homeowners who trust us with their projects are our neighbours.

Thank you to everyone who has hired us, recommended us, worked alongside us, or supported the company. We appreciate it more than you know.

One thing we've learned over the last few years is that homeowners are looking for more than beautiful finished projects.

They're looking for honest information, realistic expectations, and a clear understanding of what comes next.

That's exactly why we've spent the last while refining our website.

Rather than simply showcasing what we build, we've focused on creating a place where homeowners can better understand the planning process, explore realistic investment ranges, and learn what goes into preparing for a successful renovation or custom home.

Our hope is that it helps answer questions earlier, reduces uncertainty, and makes those first steps a little easier.

Like everything we do at Collab, it will continue to evolve. We'll be adding more educational resources, planning tools, and helpful content over time as we continue improving both our process and the experience we provide.

To everyone who's supported Collab since the beginning—thank you. We're incredibly grateful for how far we've come in a relatively short time, and we're excited for what's still ahead.

Take a look and let us know what you think.

Happy Canada Day from our team at Collab Contractors.

Today we’re grateful for the communities we get to work in, the homes we get to build, and the people who trust us to be part of their projects.

Canada is built by families, trades, small businesses, suppliers, and communities that show up every day and take pride in their work.

We’re proud to play a small part in that.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Canada Day.

Century homes always come with challenges. This Kitchener addition project was no exception.

What started as a need for more functional family space turned into:
• New walk-out home gym
• Covered outdoor seating area
• New mudroom addition
• Additional bathroom
• Full basement gut and rebuild

One of our favourite details on this project was being able to salvage and repurpose an original hardwood interior door into a new pocket door. Small details like that help preserve character while still modernizing how the home functions.

Projects like this take planning, collaboration, and a team that understands how to blend new construction into homes that have over 100 years of history behind them.

Proud of how this one came together.

There’s a reason behind the name Collab.

Great projects don’t happen from one company alone. They come together through strong partnerships, clear communication, and a shared standard for quality.

We’re fortunate to work with incredible clients, but just as important are the professionals behind the scenes. Our sub-trade partners are not just hired trades, they are a true extension of our team and a big part of why our projects turn out the way they do.

This review is a reflection of that collective effort.

To our trade partners, thank you for showing up, taking pride in your work, and consistently delivering at a high level. It does not go unnoticed.
