One thing we've learned over the last few years is that homeowners are looking for more than beautiful finished projects.

They're looking for honest information, realistic expectations, and a clear understanding of what comes next.

That's exactly why we've spent the last while refining our website.

Rather than simply showcasing what we build, we've focused on creating a place where homeowners can better understand the planning process, explore realistic investment ranges, and learn what goes into preparing for a successful renovation or custom home.

Our hope is that it helps answer questions earlier, reduces uncertainty, and makes those first steps a little easier.

Like everything we do at Collab, it will continue to evolve. We'll be adding more educational resources, planning tools, and helpful content over time as we continue improving both our process and the experience we provide.

To everyone who's supported Collab since the beginning—thank you. We're incredibly grateful for how far we've come in a relatively short time, and we're excited for what's still ahead.

Century homes always come with challenges. This Kitchener addition project was no exception.

What started as a need for more functional family space turned into:
• New walk-out home gym
• Covered outdoor seating area
• New mudroom addition
• Additional bathroom
• Full basement gut and rebuild

One of our favourite details on this project was being able to salvage and repurpose an original hardwood interior door into a new pocket door. Small details like that help preserve character while still modernizing how the home functions.

Projects like this take planning, collaboration, and a team that understands how to blend new construction into homes that have over 100 years of history behind them.

Great projects don’t happen from one company alone. They come together through strong partnerships, clear communication, and a shared standard for quality.
