Spring is finally here, Ontario! 🌷☀️ But before we get too comfortable on the patio, it’s time to talk about your outdoor wheelchair lift.

Our harsh Canadian winters are incredibly tough on exterior equipment. Between the ice buildup, the freezing temperatures, and the heavy use of de-icing salt, your porch lift went through a lot over the last few months.

To make sure your lift runs smoothly and safely all spring and summer, here is your quick April checklist:

✅ Clear the Debris: Sweep away any leftover fall leaves, twigs, and grit from under the lift and around the base.
✅ Check for Salt Damage: Road salt is highly corrosive. Gently wash away any salt residue from the tracks and platform to prevent rust.
✅ Test the Gates & Sensors: Make sure the doors latch securely and the safety pans underneath aren't jammed by frozen debris.
✅ Listen to the Motor: Run the lift up and down a few times. Do you hear any grinding or squeaking? Winter weather strips away essential lubrication.
