Our first dahlia has bloomed, and we couldn’t be more excited. 🤎🌸

Farming thing has definitely come with its fair share of speed bumps, but we’ve learned so much already and enjoy every moment so much!

We’re heading away for a few days to unplug and spend some time with family, but we’re already excited to come home and see what’s blooming. After that, it’s time to finish the farm stand so we can finally start making bouquets. 💐

Six months since we got the keys to this property. 🤎🌱

Here’s a little garden update! The Three Sisters are growing together beautifully, the pumpkins are spreading, the sunflowers are getting taller, the dahlias are full of buds, and so many other flowers and vegetables are coming along.

We’ve made a lot of progress so far. Building a farm business by ourselves while we’re both working full-time isn’t easy, but seeing everything come together has made all the hard work worth it.

Thanks for following along as we build Crossing Creek Acres from the ground up. 💚

Hay is in! 🌱

A rainstorm in the forecast had us changing plans and planting fast. Aaron spent evenings after work and the entire weekend plowing, disking, harrowing, rolling, and seeding. Now, 10 of our 20 acres are planted for hay.

Part-time farming isn’t easy—especially when the land hasn’t been worked in over 30 years—but we’re bringing it back to life, one field at a time.
