It' a rare thing to have copper install in today's new homes, as price seems to be the only concern of many builders and home owners. I still love the look of a well done copper system. when i did this job every trade in the home commented on the copper pipes, and so did the Inspector. The control system on the wall had to be explained to him. The whole house water system is controlled from one area.

Some pics from a crawlspace job from a few years back. When i do a job i wanna do a good job. I price my projects to allow enough time to make things in a manner that works for the homeowners needs, the plumbers ease of installation and future ease of repair or replacement.

Here we have a custom wood bracket, designed to slope the water system to drain out in the winter or vacation season.
I also place wood bracing onto the joists so that fittings are not hidden in the joist, soldering can be done without worrying about burning the lumber and future access to the fittings is easy.
