Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. You will work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.

Responsibilities:

* Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with plumbing, heating, and cooling systems
* Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
* Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety standards
* Provide exceptional customer service on job sites
* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly manner

Requirements:

* Valid Journeyman Plumber license
* Strong knowledge of plumbing, heating, and cooling systems
* Must be physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various environments
* Valid driverss license with a clean driving record
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills

This fall, RAK’s Plumbing and Heating LTD. will be entering its 10th year in business. At just 22 years old Richard took a leap of faith by launching his own business, fuelled by determination, skill, and a deep sense of responsibility to serve his community and surrounding communities.

Here’s to a decade of hard work, perseverance, and growth. And here’s to what’s still to come!

A HUGE Thank you to everyone who’s supported RAK’s along the way — we couldn’t have reached this milestone without you.

Here is a picture of Richard “behind the scenes”…billing at the kitchen table, hearing “dad, dad, dad, watch this dad!” countless times. It’s late evenings and early mornings. It’s hours and hours of quoting, billing, chatting with suppliers, price matching, and ensuring his clients are getting high quality products at fair prices….and also a throwback where it all started!

ANODE ROD

What is it? An anode is a metal rod (comprised of softer metal than what the rest of your water heater is made of) and is known to deteriorate over time, resulting in your water heater to leak. The reason this rod is created with a softer metal is so that the water eats away at the rod INSTEAD of your tank.

That being said, it is important to CHANGE these rods to extend the life of your water heater.

It has been brought to our attention that the current water advisory in Redvers, Sk has been extended!

The advisory states that those who have a properly functioning Reverse Osmosis System in their home are still able to drink from that water.

My name is Richard Kinder and I am the owner and operator of RAK’s Plumbing and Heating. My business is based in Alameda, SK but I also serve the surrounding communities of South East Saskatchewan.

I completed my Journeyman in Plumbing in February 2017 and I immediately knew I wanted to come back to my home town and start my own business...I officially opened in May 2017 and one year later here I am!
