Another one complete for another terrific client! The old neo angle shower had seen better days and was incorrectly installed. The tile floor was also incorrectly installed and, as a result, had numerous cracks. We removed the old shower, tile flooring and damaged subfloor. After making adjustments to plumbing and repairs to the subfloor, we installed the new corner shower, new drywall, new tile, new LVT flooring, new baseboard and matched the existing paint to complete our portion of the ensuite upgrade. The client has taken on the task of repainting and adding a new top to the unique vanity to have it better match the updated aesthetic.

Our journey on this project ends here. What a journey it has been!

Our clients had gotten in a little over their heads with their build, and had trouble obtaining trades to come out to work on their acreage. Luckily our paths crossed and we were able to step in and help out.

The I.C.F (Insulated Concrete Form) foundation was assembled when we arrived. We ran plumbing for the building drain, emergency floor drain in the mechanical room, installed the sump pit and radon rough-in prior to the clients’ concrete contractors pouring the floor.

Once the slab dried and the 2 storey pre-built or RTM (Ready to Move) home was placed, we were tasked with fastening the building to the foundation. Once complete, we ran all plumbing drainage and supply connections throughout the basement and then had come in to sprayfoam all joist ends.

Next we framed out the area, dividing the space into 5 separate rooms and then intalled drywall. The clients have hired their own trades and opted to take on some of the remaining work themselves to finish.

All plumbing, framing and drywall was handled in house by Dark Horse Home Improvements.

Sprayfoam insulation was installed by New Age Insulation.

Well service, concrete, electrical, HVAC, carpet and paint were completed by the client and/or their chosen contractors.
