We are an electrical contracting company that specializes in street lighting, intersections, parking lot lighting, civil electrical, underground, bridges etc. We are based in Abbotsford. We work all over the Fraser Valley and occasionally further.
Currently, we are seeking an experienced, energetic and driven Project Manager/Estimator to join our team.
Our medium sized company requires a Project Manager / Estimator that performs a wide range of duties. They are responsible for pricing and securing estimates to government and private tenders.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Estimate project costs and change orders
• Submit tenders
• Review contracts and understand clauses and supplementary conditions
• Purchase materials and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Work alongside the owner, superintendent and foreman to develop and coordinate job schedules
• Consult on traffic control drawings and requirements
• Attend meetings and prepare correspondence with government officials, engineers, general contractors etc.
• Identify and correct deficiencies on projects
• Track and manage financial performance of projects
• Manage the project and visit sites to ensure quality management
• Mark and layout sites
• Complete as-builts and maintenance manuals as needed
A minimum of 5 years experience in the transportation electrical field is required.
Electrical trade certificate is a huge asset.
Computer skills including Microsoft, Excel, business email correspondence, Adobe, and estimating software are a must.
Wage is based on experience. Benefits are available after 3 month probation.
Due to our size we expect all team members to assist in all aspects of office and work site tasks. We need a professional candidate that has drive and shows initiative.
