Our Health Authority has now mandated that all employers in BC have an established COVID safety plan. Adtech has revised theirs based on current data, and our goal is two fold: to keep our employees safe, AND to keep those around us safe. The key way to do is for proper masks and sanitary procedures. Vaccines do not prevent you from getting COVID, nor do they prevent you from being contagious, however they tend to minimize the impact on you and the health systems We have decided to publish our plan which is particular to our industry should others wish to use it for ideas. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/effectiveness/why-measure-effectiveness/breakthrough-cases.html
"ADTECH PROCEDURES – COVID SAFETY PLAN
HOW COVID-19 SPREADS:
COVID-19 spreads from an infected person to others through respiratory droplets and aerosols (smaller droplets) created when an infected person:
• Breathes
• coughs
• sneezes
• sings
• shouts
• talks
COVID-19 can also spread by touching something that has the virus on it, then touching your mouth, nose or eyes with unwashed hands. You can transmit COVID-19 before you start showing symptoms or without ever developing symptoms.
You can also spread COVID if you are vaccinated (vaccine breakthrough infections), however the impact on your health if vaccinated and have COVID appears to be significantly less than if unvaccinated. Adtech encourages vaccinations, however mandates safety. There can be no exceptions when dealing with the safety of others.
ADTECH POLICIES RE COVID SAFETY:
The following procedures are mandatory:
• All employees shall wear as a minimum a Level III Surgical Mask when on customer premises, suppliers, meetings, etc.;
• A three-layer cloth mask with a five-layer insert is also acceptable;
