Job Title: SHE Officer

Location: Gaborone and other various Sites

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced SHE Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the electrical works field, particularly with BPC DSW and Substation works, and will demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manages, SHE project File . And continuously improve it to suit new challenges and changes in legislature.
• Develop and enforce safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Manage and investigate safety incidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Oversee the implementation of safety plans and risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers and teams to ensure safety standards are met on all projects.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical works field.
• Extensive experience with BPC DSW and Substation works.
• Relevant SHE qualifications or certifications.
• Valid driver’s license is advantageous.
• Proven leadership capabilities and strong problem-solving skills.
Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to effectively manage safety programs and initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
