This year, Cache Atelier turns 15.

As we continue our journey through the years, we arrive at one of the projects that marked the beginning of our interior design story.

Zlatarska 24 was a true creative space that was our first office, a gallery, and places for workshops, teachings, and presentations. Alongside 12 more such spaces that opened up at the beginning of 2014 we had only one common goal - bringing back creative life into the heart of Plovdiv.
Designed to respect the character of its surroundings while introducing a flexible multifunctionality, the project reflected an idea we still believe in today: every space should belong to its context and it evolves around the people who use it everyday.

Продължаваме разходката си през годините.

“Златарска“ 24 беше истинско творческо пространство, което беше нашият първи офис, но и галерия и място за семинари, обучения и презентации. Заедно с още 12 такива пространства, които отвориха врати в началото на 2014 г. имахме една единствена обща цел - да върнем творческия живот в сърцето на град Пловдив.

Проектът отчита характера на заобикалящата го среда, като същевременно въвежда гъвкава многофункционалност и отразява идеята, в която вярваме и днес: всяко пространство трябва да принадлежи на своя контекст – и да се развива с хората, които го обитават всеки ден.

This month, we’re spotlighting the 8 PM office space we designed.

1. Historic character
Set within a historic neighbourhood in central Sofia, the office preserves the original architectural spirit while introducing a contemporary interior.

2. Ideas in motion
Exposed cables and suspended bulbs turn the lighting into a metaphor for creativity and the constant flow of ideas.

3. Flexible by design
Mobile furniture allows the workspace to transform effortlessly for presentations, events and workshops.

4. More light, more openness
A perforated railing separates the spaces while preserving daylight and the spacious double-height view.

5. Design classics
Furniture by Vitra, including iconic pieces by Charles & Ray Eames, Verner Panton and Tom Vac, reinforces the timeless character of the interior.

Този месец поставяме под светлините на прожекторите офиса на 8 PM.
‍
1. Исторически характер
Разположен в стара сграда в центъра на София, офисът съхранява автентичните архитектурни елементи и ги вплита в съвременен интериор.
‍
2. Светлината като идея
Осветлението с видими кабели и крушки превръща светлината в метафора за творческия процес и раждането на нови идеи.
‍
3. Гъвкавост
Мобилното обзавеждане позволява пространството лесно да се адаптира за презентации, събития и срещи.
‍
4. Повече светлина
Ажурната преграда разделя различните функции, без да спира естествената светлина и усещането за простор.
‍
5. Дизайн, който остава
Емблематичните мебели на Vitra от Charles & Ray Eames, Verner Panton и Tom Vac допълват интериора с непреходен характер.

This year, Cache Atelier turns 15.

In 2013, our work was focused on the city and its people. Together with architect Raycho Dimitrov, we organised the Urban Victims Workshop—an initiative with students from UACEG (University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy), where we turned our attention to the Kapana district in Plovdiv. Back then, still forgotten and full of vacant spaces and parked cars, this neighbourhood in the centre of Plovdiv harboured potential that few could see.
That is how the initiative “Give a Hand to Kapana” was born, along with the subsequent action in which, on a cold winter weekday morning, we “parked” 100 cardboard cars in the neighbourhood to express our disagreement with using such a historic place as a free parking lot. An act that created many absurd situations with real cars for several hours, part of which you can see in the video in the post.

We are glad that we managed to spark the real transformation of one of the most vibrant places in the city today.

Продължаваме нашето пътуване през годините.

През 2013 г. работата ни беше насочена към града и хората в него.

Заедно с арх. Райчо Димитров организирахме Urban Victims Workshop - инициатива със студенти от УАСГ, в която насочихме поглед към Капана в Пловдив. Тогава все още забравен, пълен с пустеещи помещения и паркирали коли, кварталът в центъра на Пловдив криеше потенциал, който малцина виждаха.

Така се роди инициативата “Подай ръка” на Капана и последвалата акция, в която в една зимна делнична сутрин “паркирахме” 100 картонени коли в квартала, за да покажем несъгласието си това едно историческо място да се използва за безплатен паркинг. Акция, която създаде редица абсурни сутуации с истинските коли в рамките на няколко часа, част от които можете да видите във видеото към поста.

Радваме се, че успяхме да дадем началото на реалната промяна на едно от най-живите места в града днес.

🔦 Every tailored space tells a story — detail by detail.

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on the Forsta office space we designed.

1. Semi-transparent wooden screens subtly define the different zones without compromising openness, adding warmth, texture, and a refined architectural rhythm.
2. The work areas are designed in a calm, neutral palette that reduces visual noise and creates an environment for focus and productivity.
3. Meeting spaces are organised around the central core and distinguished by a soft colour gradient, creating a subtle contrast with the surrounding workstations.
4. The collaboration area naturally extends the workplace—offering a flexible setting for spontaneous meetings, teamwork, or moments of quiet concentration.
5. From the very entrance, the company’s logo becomes a subtle design feature, seamlessly transforming into a seating element within the reception area.

Този месец поставяме под светлините на прожекторите офиса на Forsta.

1. Ажурните дървени прегради сепарират отделните зони, без да нарушават усещането за простор, като същевременно внасят топлина, текстура и фин архитектурен ритъм.
2. Работните пространства са решени в спокойна неутрална тоналност, която намалява визуалния шум и създава среда за концентрация и продуктивна работа.
3. Зоните за срещи са организирани около централното ядро и се отличават с деликатен цветови градиент, който контрастира с работните пространства.
4. Зоната за колаборация е естествено продължение на офиса – гъвкаво пространство за бързи срещи, екипна работа или моменти на уединение.
5. Още във входната зона логото на компанията се превръща в деликатен дизайнерски акцент, който естествено прелива в елемент за сядане и изчакване.
