These are my students’ hands — learning new techniques, testing ideas, refining their touch.

Sometimes they follow my lead, sometimes they explore their own path.

Each step brings new confidence, each project a result to be proud of.

Honoured to guide their first steps into this craft.

This Herman Miller Eames Lounge 670 came into the workshop with a broken shock mount on the armrest, which had also caused the plywood to crack.
We restored the damaged section, rebuilt the structure, and installed new shock mounts to bring the armrest back to its original strength and function.

A precise repair for an iconic design, ready for decades of use again.

Sharing skills and passion in Malawi. Crafting, teaching, inspiring…

10/04/2026

A European woodworking and upholstery expert, Clint Van Hoorebeeck, says he is impressed with quality products that Malawian carpenters are producing despite limited upholstery education and little international exposure.

Van Hoorebeeck told Zodiak Online today, that the talent and creativity for Malawian carpenters is amazing, and they have a potential to shake the global furniture industry if given better tools.

Hoorebeeck is in the country to train Fadeth employees on advanced finishing, joinery and quality control.

Managing Director of Fadeth Furnishers, Richard Chirwa, said they want Malawian furniture industry to stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world, hence the decision to bring experts to train their employees to start producing international standard products.
