Audio Scientist for real life customers, Audio ML

Scope

The Audio Scientist will join a MECATECH Project within a consortium (*) about Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning in an innovative real-time edge on-device system.

Job description

In this role, you will:
● Engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products
● Work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, ex*****on and test
● Develop new audio and speech processing algorithms using signal processing, DNNs, and other state-of-the-art machine learning techniques
● Optimize and port to different platforms, audio and speech processing algorithms with focus on Voice Communication and Speech Recognition
● Integrate partner’s hardware and software stacks
● Be able, and willing, to multi-task and learn new broadcast technologies quickly
● Be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment

Profile

● PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
● Ability and desire to create new technologies in the form of prototypes and patents
● Strong personal interest in learning, researching, and creating new technologies with high commercial impact
● Understanding of general acoustics
● Experience in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR)
● Experience in various audio signal processing technologies
● Experience in using DNNs and other ML techniques for audio processing
● Experience in real-time audio processing
● Personal interest in audio and multimedia technologies
● Independent, self-motivated worker requiring minimal supervision
● Excellent communication skills

Working location in Seraing, Belgium
