Rather than rewriting history, we choose to listen to it. In collaboration with Bovenbouw Architectuur we embrace the existing DNA of this iconic building with all its quirks, layers and spatial poetry. No radical overhaul, but an empathic transformation with a sustainable vision towards the future.
The project will be renovated with three main goals in mind: sustainability, comfort and fire and life safety. By integrating a new heat and cooling production with heat pump technology we achieve a fossil-free concept. With circularity as an incentive, we will remanufacture the existing installations and review the airflows, in order to upgrade comfort throughout the building. Redesigning the fire protection and life safety is the third main priority in this project.
