Where history meets modern living.

We are thrilled to share a glimpse of our Rue de la Fourche 29-31 project, located in the historic heart of Brussels, right within the UNESCO heritage zone of the Grand-Place! At Lucas Freire Architecture, our vision is to breathe new life into historic structures while meticulously preserving their architectural soul.

Here is how we are transforming this beautiful building:
• Respecting Heritage: We are fully restoring the iconic facade and its classic bow-window details, replacing outdated PVC frames with authentic, historically accurate wooden windows.

• Decluttering the Architecture: The vertical advertising panels on the first floor are being completely removed to reveal the elegant, clean lines of the original design.

• Eco-Friendly Living: While reconfiguring the upper floors into modern apartments, we have integrated a lush green roof system across the back and first-floor terraces to bring nature into the urban fabric.

Timeless elegance, beautifully redefined for the future. 📐🌿

Targeted renovation in Durbuy! 🌲✨

Our goal? To optimize space and improve flow in this single-family home, all while completely respecting its natural topography. 🏡

The Highlights:
• Ground Floor: We knocked down an interior wall to create a spacious, fluid, open-plan living and kitchen area looking out to the back.

• Upper Level: Added a new dark brown wood dormer to make room for a brand-new bathroom, perfectly blending with the home's original aesthetic.

• Circulation: Goodbye steep ladder-stairs! We installed a compliant, comfortable staircase that maximizes safety and spatial efficiency.

• Outdoors: Reorganized the terrace for a seamless connection to the garden, and added a new garage window to boost light and accessibility.
Proof that targeted, respectful architectural updates can completely elevate a home's functionality and flow. 📐✨

A new identity for Wan Li, in the heart of Brussels.

Located at Rue des Halles 3, this renovation project aimed to modernize the supermarket’s image while enhancing its functionality and overall customer experience.

Every detail was carefully designed to create a more modern, efficient, and welcoming environment while preserving the unique identity of Wan Li, a well-known destination for Asian products in Brussels.
