An additional rooftop extension with a new music lounge, a new living space, a new kitchen and bathrooms… and last but not least the integration of an elevator into a historic townhouse.

As part of a full renovation this requires more than just technical expertise: it is an exercise in respect for the past as well as a vision for the future. ♻

In this project, we faced three major challenges: preserving the historical elements, creating more natural daylight, and carefully integrating new technologies. Every intervention had to be subtle, almost invisible, while functioning perfectly within contemporary needs.

Transforming with respect for Heritage & Future Living 🍀Proud to share this recent full renovation of a 1931 Art Deco home in the Miljoenenkwartier, Ghent.
This house, designed by architect Emile De Nil, underwent decades of changes before receiving a thorough transformation into a compact, sustainable, and comfortable family home. Honoring its rich architectural heritage, we restored its clear volumes and refined details while fully modernizing it with an energy label A and sustainable systems.
By redefining the volume and reorganizing the interior spaces, we created a strong connection between inside and outside — with a generous garden as an extension of living.
Or how heritage and contemporary living needs can strengthen each other in an urban setting.
