Review: ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies
One of the key character traits of a good spy is the ability to work in the shadows. Going undercover and becoming a new person so that nobody can detect your true intentions is all part of the job. However, if you remain undercover for too long, you may lose your sense of self. ZERO PARADES: For Dead Spies did the reverse. I became an average person in the mind of an undercover operative. I became the character myself.

Review: SUMMERHOUSE

SUMMERHOUSE is one of those games where you immediately understand what it wants to be. You pick a background, get a bunch of walls, roofs, windows, doors, plants and decorations, and then you just start building. There's nothing more about it, no story or guidance, it's just you and your tools. You get an empty scene and the freedom to turn it into something that feels right for you....

Review: Tales Of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition (Nintendo Switch 2)

I haven’t always been a fan of JRPGs, but as I get older, I see why they click with a certain type of gamer because of the amount of quality. Tales of Arise is one of those games. Back when it originally launched in 2021, it felt like Bandai Namco finally figured out how to modernize the long-running Tales formula without stripping away its identity....

Review: Yoshi and the Mysterious Book

Yoshi is back on Nintendo Switch 2 after exploring the galaxy with the Mario brothers in the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Unlike many other Yoshi games, this isn’t just a platformer aimed at younger players. Instead, it’s a cosy exploration game where you meet strange new creatures and slowly uncover how their worlds work. Let’s jump in!...

Review: Bubsy 4D - It’s weird, it’s ambitious, and it’s messy. Sometimes it’s even genuinely great. But in the end, it still feels like Bubsy, and maybe that’s exactly the problem.

Gather around, kids, Grandpa Nick is going to tell you all a story. There was a time when every mascot with a pulse, a catchphrase, and a vaguely marketable silhouette was thrown into the platformi…

Review: Possessor(s)
The Metroidvania genre is difficult to master. If you deviate too much from the established formula, you might estrange the core audience. Play too much by the book, however, and you might get lost among your competitors. So, if I were to make a deal with the devil, would he reveal the best way forward to me?

Review: Thick As Thieves, A heist without the thrill

I love stealth games since I grew up on old-school Splinter Cell. So when a game drops in our inbox, stating it’s centered around burglary, infiltration, and improvisation, I’m all ears. The idea o…

Review: LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

It’s been a while since Batman properly entered the video game realm. And even though LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight isn’t a new Arkham entry, it feels weirdly familiar in the best way possible. It’s as if Traveller’s Tales looked at what made the Arkham franchise so good and poured its typical LEGO magic all over it. Time to become vengeance....

Review: Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered

It’s been over 23 years since we’ve seen the release of Legacy of Kain: Defiance. This was the follow-up to the Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver franchise. A lot of people already acknowledge the death of this beloved franchise; Crystal Dynamics just wasn’t ready to let this franchise go. Therefore, they’ve released a remastered package of the 2 Soul Reaver games. Not only did they revive this interesting IP for the audience, but they also didn’t want this rejoice to end quickly, and that’s when they decided to remaster Legacy of Kain: Ascendance and Legacy of Kain: Defiance....

Review: Forza Horizon 6

Ever since I came back from Japan, it’s been hard not to think about the country. The cities, the roads, the atmosphere, it stays with you. I won’t be going back this year, but Forza Horizon 6 comes surprisingly close. Set in Japan, this new entry in the series feels like a natural fit, and after spending a lot more time with the final game, I can safely say that Playground Games knew exactly what it was doing....
