🚉 Big step forward for Riga Central Station. 🇱🇻

The client has officially signed the Substantial Completion milestone!

For BESIX and all project partners, it's an encouraging moment in the transformation of one of the key gateways of the Rail Baltica programme.

🚦 Our project enters now a new phase, with teams focusing on the final handover of the station due by the end of 2026 and the restart of the rail works.

It's exciting to see years of engineering, coordination and construction moving one step closer to serving future passengers.

The Mohammed VI Tower appears for just one second in our new corporate video. It took years to build.

So did the Burj Khalifa, Tour Triangle, the Brisbane Bridge, and dozens of other projects featured in just 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

Behind every second are years of engineering, millions of hours of work, and thousands of women and men who turned bold ideas into reality.

🚢 More capacity for one of Brazil’s busiest ports.

After already delivering 490 metres last year, our teams in Portonave have just delivered another 250 metres of new quay wall in Navegantes 🇧🇷.

This milestone supports the port’s expansion, helps prepare it for future growth, and strengthens its role as a key gateway for Brazil’s container traffic.

This achievement was made possible through the combined efforts of and Foundations, working closely with our clients and Investment Limited (TiL).

740 metres delivered. Only 245 left to go!

Fittingly, POST Rotterdam, the historic post office that has long stood as a symbol of the city's spirit, is steadily transforming into a multifunctional destination.

A few new shots show just how much progress has been made in recent months. The restored historic building and the tower rising above it are now clearly shaping Rotterdam's skyline. 🏙️

For everyone involved, especially BESIX Nederland and partner Rizzani de Eccher, this project has been a rare opportunity to combine heritage restoration with ambitious new-build construction on a truly iconic site.

🌉 Breaking ground in Waasmunster 🇧🇪!

The start of the new Durme Bridge project in Waasmunster was marked by a groundbreaking ceremony today. 🎉

The consortium with BESIX, BESIX Infra and TMI will replace the existing bridge, build a new steel truss structure, upgrade the N446 and create new connections to the towpaths along the Durme river. 🌊

The project showcases combined expertise within BESIX Group. By bringing together specialists in bridge construction, road infrastructure and steel structures, the consortium is delivering a safer and future-ready connection for the region. The new bridge also features an ecological crossing to allow wildlife to move safely along the river corridor. 🦌

421 metres. 75 floors. No two levels alike.

In Abidjan 🇨🇮, we have completed the structural phase of Tour F, a 421-metre tower with 75 floors, each one designed differently.

This project combined advanced structural design, full BIM coordination and large-scale ex*****on, with up to 1,500 people mobilised on site.

A new landmark is taking shape on the Abidjan skyline, and we’re proud to have built its backbone! ✨

Riga 🇱🇻 is on the rise, and the city now shines even brighter as the new Riga Central Station takes shape in its final architectural form. The façade and glazed roof of the southern section are now complete.

🪟 More than 1,500 m² of impressive glass panels now define the space, supported by an arch made of thousands of steel tubes that form a complex three-dimensional grid.

This milestone reflects the expertise of our teams on site, with every panel playing a role in this remarkably complex structure.

🚉 Together with RERE Grupa and Rizzani de Eccher, we are proud to contribute to one of the region’s largest infrastructure projects in a century.

👀🚆 One of those "blink and you’ll miss it"-moments at R4WO 🇧🇪 over the weekend: our teams replaced a railway bridge in just 72 hours.

👷‍♂️ During one very intense weekend, the old railway bridge at the Zeeschipstraat–Evergemsesteenweg junction in Ghent 🇧🇪was demolished and removed, while a brand-new bridge, twice as long and twice as wide, was installed on a temporary location right next to its future home.

Over the coming months, we will build the new pillars for the bridge. Once completed, the bridge will be moved to its final position in spring 2027. Next to it, a new bicycle bridge for the F42 cycle highway will be installed🚲.

Why does this matter? By installing the bridge on a temporary location now, rail traffic between Ghent and Eeklo can continue uninterrupted throughout the next phases of the works. And thanks to a temporary cycle path on the bridge, cyclists will already be able to use the new F42 from 17 July, well before the permanent bicycle bridge is in place.

💪 Another milestone down, many more to come!
