For the first time, Australia 🇦🇺 no longer needs to send key military aircraft overseas for deep maintenance.

✈️ At RAAF Base Edinburgh, BESIX Watpac has delivered a purpose built aviation hub for the Royal Australian Air Force’s Boeing 737-based fleet, including the P 8A Poseidon and E 7A Wedgetail.

At its core: a 240 metre hangar, directly connected to the active airbase, designed to handle some of the most advanced military aircraft in service today.

🫡 Built in one of the country’s most controlled and secure environments, and delivered ahead of schedule!

This project strengthens Australia’s sovereign defence capability and develops long-term expertise on home soil, while creating hundreds of local jobs during construction.

⚙️What does it take to install a new bridge above water? Quite a lot, actually.

A major milestone for our team in Halle 🇧🇪: the new steel deck of the Bospoort bridge has been successfully transported by water and carefully placed into position.

Built off-site in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, the deck was assembled and then sailed to its final destination. A precise operation that required meticulous planning and flawless ex*****on!

This new movable bridge will soon connect both sides of the canal for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport, while also allowing larger vessels to pass. It's an important step in upgrading the Brussels-Charleroi canal for modern inland shipping.

- Modernising essential water infrastructure for tomorrow’s standards💧

BESIX Environment and Socogetra have been selected by IDEA to rehabilitate, upgrade and extend the wastewater treatment plant in Spiennes, Belgium🇧🇪.

A key facility for the region, the wastewater treatment facility will be modernised to meet stricter environmental standards while remaining fully operational during the works.

Once completed, the plant will treat:
👩‍👧‍👦around 8,000 population equivalents
💦an average daily flow of 1,440 m³

BESIX Environment and Socogetra rely on recognised expertise in the design, modernisation and expansion of municipal wastewater treatment plants across the Benelux, including the Trivières wastewater treatment plant.

Works will start in June 2026, with commissioning scheduled for early 2028.

· Crystal clear progress on Rail Baltica in Riga 🇱🇻!

🚉 Together with our partners, we have started façade and roof glazing works in the southern part of the Riga Central Station, alongside the final glass installation across the passenger sheds above the platforms.

🪟 More than 1,500 sqm of glazing is coming to life over the next couple of months, weather permitting.

We’re proud to help build a more connected Europe, in partnership with RERE Grupa and Rizzani de Eccher.

💪 Heavy lifting in the middle of 🇧🇪 Belgium's busiest shopping street!

Last week, our BESIX-WYCOR team, working on Project Meir in Antwerp, lifted and installed 9-tonne architectural concrete arches on the iconic façade.

Their double curvature makes both production and installation highly complex, with millimetre-precise positioning required in very limited visibility - as you can see by yourself in this video 🏗️

Their successful installation marks another milestone in delivering this unique project, which combines heritage conservation, modern retail and education in the heart of the city.

🚧 First concrete poured for the Canal Tunnels in Antwerp 🇧🇪 !

This marks an important milestone for the Oosterweel project and a major step toward completing the Antwerp Ring and improving access to and from the port.

Together with our partners in TM ROCO, we’re building this 2.5 km tunnel using a unique “concrete train” method, with new sections added every two weeks.

Thanks to strong teamwork, smart engineering and steady progress, we are on track for what comes next 💪

Progress on the Marsa LNG jetty in Sohar 🇴🇲 is moving ahead quickly and safely.
