Norway will get a new majority government next week, strengthening the unique EV policy. For political parties have signed an agreement today that ensure stability for EV policy development untill the next parliament election autumn 2021. 1/3 of all new cars in Norway was electric in 2018. The only issue delaying the uptake of EVs is limited numbers of EVs available. More than 40 000 norwegians are waiting for their new EV and even more are considering to change from diesel/petrol to renewable electricity next time they purchase a new car.
(The unsharp photo): The Minister of Climate and Environment, Ola Elvestuen, has been a long term EV advocate and has taken active part in the succesful negotiations. He is elected by the people of the EV Capital of the World, Oslo and the European Green Capital 2019. Liberal and progressive.
