With the EARTH building, VITO, the Flemish Institute for Technological Research, is firmly committed to a forward-looking approach. ⁣
⁣
It is the first climate-neutral laboratory building in Flanders and achieves an exceptional E-level of -4.
In addition, EARTH has been awarded the GRO ‘excellent’ label – the highest achievable level under the Belgian sustainability framework for construction projects – and is the fourth building in Flanders to receive an A+ accessibility label.⁣

But EARTH is more than just a building. It has been designed to provide maximum support for research, both today and in the future. ⁣
