CEDA Innovative School is a vibrant private educational institution founded in 2022, with a vision to provide an inspiring learning environment for the next generation. In 2026, the school marks a significant milestone with the opening of its new purpose-built campus.Despite occupying a compact site of just 1,320 square feet (less than 2 katha), the design demonstrates how thoughtful architecture can maximize space, comfort, and functionality. The 3,000 square foot building accommodates five classrooms, each measuring 20' × 14' and designed to comfortably host 30 students, creating an ideal setting for interactive and focused learning. At the heart of the school is a central landscaped courtyard, a defining feature that brings nature into the learning environment. This green open space enhances cross ventilation, fills the classrooms with natural daylight, and creates a refreshing atmosphere that supports students' well-being and academic performance. Sustainability and affordability guided every design decision. The building is constructed using locally sourced, sustainable, and cost-effective materials, minimizing environmental impact while supporting local resources. Concrete hollow blocks were selected for the exterior walls to improve thermal performance by reducing heat gain and maintaining a cooler indoor environment. An additional perforated screen façade acts as a protective buffer, filtering dust, reducing street noise, and allowing fresh air to circulate freely, ensuring a healthier and more comfortable learning experience.CEDA Innovative School demonstrates that even on a modest plot of land, thoughtful design can create an inspiring, sustainable, and student-centered educational environment where architecture becomes an active partner in learning.
