We are delighted to share that our IDS Industrial Precinct Masterplan has received a Commendation in Category 4: Participatory, Land-use Efficient and Inclusive Planning (SDG 11) at the third cycle of the UIA 2030 Award.
The project is the only entry from Bangladesh to receive recognition in this cycle of the UIA 2030 Award, marking an important international acknowledgment of Bangladesh's contributions to sustainable and inclusive urban development.
The jury recognized the project for its holistic approach to peri-urban development by bringing together the Zebun Nessa Mosque, Washing Hub, existing industrial buildings, and inclusive public spaces within a unified masterplan. The project demonstrates how industrial growth can coexist with social equity, environmental responsibility, and human well-being. The result is a people-centered development that advances the aspirations of SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
