The "Sustainable Architecture Practices" produced by the Bengal Institute of Architecture, Landscape and Settlements and British council explores climate-responsive design, ecological thinking, material consciousness, and the future of architecture in the South Asian context. Through research, case studies, and critical discourse, the publication highlights how architecture can engage more responsibly with environment, culture, and community.

The publication brings together important conversations on climate-responsive design, material sensitivity, environmental responsibility, and the evolving role of architecture in shaping sustainable futures.

We are grateful to be part of this meaningful discourse through Karuponnya, a project that reflects our continued exploration of context, craft, and sustainable architectural practices.

Residence of Dr. Shah Emran
Amborkhana, Sylhet
A residence designed to celebrate light, comfort, privacy, and a strong connection with nature. Through the use of exposed brick, layered spaces, and carefully framed openings, the design creates a calm and timeless living environment suited to the local climate and context.
This project reflects a thoughtful balance between contemporary expression and everyday functionality, where architecture becomes both shelter and experience.
