Fialka is proud to have contributed to the detailed design and planning of the newly reconstructed Sayeman Heritage Hotel, a timeless landmark that has been reimagined after a decade of construction. Conceptualized by ERA Architects, Mumbai, this colonial-style gem harmonizes traditional elegance with contemporary luxury.

The building’s two wings frame a serene central courtyard, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the city’s lively ambiance. Thoughtful landscaping and a stunning pool create an oasis that immerses guests in nature, while the expansive open sky views complete the tranquil experience.

Sayeman Heritage Hotel is a testament to the enduring legacy of thoughtful design and our commitment to creating spaces where architecture and the environment unite.

Set amidst the hills, Ambagaan is envisioned as an architecture that grows from its landscape. The form of the building echoes the contours of the surrounding terrain, unfolding through cascading terraces that connect a series of elevated gardens.

The project aims to bring greenery back into urban living by integrating nature directly into the architecture. Expansive planted terraces and façade planters that weave vegetation throughout the building result in a layered living environment where architecture and landscape exist as one continuous experience.

This interior is conceived around the changing character of light throughout the day. At midday, a skylight above the stairwell draws in overhead sunlight, naturally illuminating the entire space and reducing the need for artificial lighting. The vertical volume becomes bright, open, and connected to the sky.

As evening sets in, the atmosphere shifts. Warm, controlled lighting highlights the central indoor landscape, transforming the space into a softer environment. Acting as a transition between the shared living areas and private units, this space frames views toward the dining area while offering a cozy dining experience in the evenings.

This upcoming residential project is envisioned as a family home that embraces the natural landscape surrounding it, most notably the adjacent pukur (pond). Drawing inspiration from vernacular architectural elements, the design reinterprets traditional forms through a contemporary lens.

Generous terraces are integrated throughout the structure, creating spaces for greenery and outdoor living while encouraging a family-oriented lifestyle that connects residents with nature. The project also features a thoughtfully designed pukur ghat, reimagined in a modern architectural language, offering a calm and engaging interface between the home and the water.

These images capture how the space transforms through the changing light of the day. As sunlight shifts, it creates new patterns, moods, and spatial experiences for the residents. The architecture is designed to evolve with time, allowing the home to feel different from morning to evening.
