Millions of measured points. One Grbavica. 🔵⚪

The GeoGIS Studio team carried out a detailed geodetic survey of the North, East and West stands of Grbavica Stadium.

By combining a Trimble terrestrial laser scanner with DJI LiDAR technology, we created a highly accurate 3D point cloud—a detailed digital record of the stands, structural elements, entrances, exits and circulation routes.

The collected data will be used to produce existing-condition technical drawings for:

🏗️ Reconstruction projects
🏟️ Planning and organizing major events
🚶 Visitor-flow and emergency evacuation planning
📐 Other technical, safety and stadium-management requirements

We had the opportunity to collaborate with Semir Osmanagić and his team in Visoko on a small but very interesting project. After presenting the results of our LiDAR surveying and 3D scanning, we continued our conversation with a tour of the tunnels and the ongoing works.

It was particularly interesting to see how many visitors this place attracts from different parts of the world. Semir proved to be a very pleasant and calm person to talk to. He asked specific questions related to our profession, listened carefully to the answers, and demonstrated a good understanding of modern surveying methods, LiDAR technology, and 3D digitalization.

It is hard not to notice what human determination, persistence, and hard work can achieve. From a small place in the heart of Bosnia, a destination has been created that today attracts visitors from all over the world. That alone is a remarkable story of how far an idea can go when it is supported by years of work, energy, and perseverance.

For us, this was an interesting combination of surveying, modern technology, and a truly unique environment, but above all, it was an opportunity for a valuable professional conversation, new experiences, and an exchange of ideas.
