Hilltops Vegetation Services is looking for an experienced Leading Hand Arborist to lead our tree crew day to day in the field.

Full-time permanent position, with above-award wages negotiable on experience.

About the role:
🌲 Leading a small tree crew on removals, pruning, storm work and vegetation management
🌲 Planning and setting up jobs, including site inspections and risk assessments
🌲 Implementing SWMS and site inductions
🌲 Running jobs safely, efficiently and to a high standard
🌲 Completing job sheets and site paperwork accurately and on time
🌲 Opportunity for career progression to Operations Manager as the business grows

You'll need:
✅ Cert III in Arboriculture, or working towards it
✅ Chainsaw ticket, EWP ticket, climbing and demonstrated felling experience
✅ Crew leadership or supervisory experience
✅ White Card
✅ Willing to undergo a police check
✅ Current driver's licence

A bonus if you have:
🔹 MR, HR or HC licence
🔹 Experience with excavators, wood chippers, stump grinders and pozi track with brushcutter attachment
🔹 Experience on government or council contracts
🔹 Experience using a smartphone or tablet for job records — we're moving towards app-based job sheets and reporting

We're a family-owned local business working with councils, government and health clients across the Hilltops, Riverina and ACT. You'll be working with late-model, purpose-built plant, including our Merlo grapple saw machine.
