⚠️ WHY USING A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN MATTERS — ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO SMOKE ALARMS🚨
Yesterday we attended a property that had just been handed over to its new owners, and what we found was a serious reminder of why electrical work, especially smoke alarm installations, should always be carried out by a qualified and licensed electrician!
The property had smoke alarms that were
❌️Not powered
❌️Not correctly connected
❌️ Not compliant with the required Australian safety standards
While the cabling had been run for the smoke alarms, the installation itself was not completed professionally, and most concerningly the cable was not actually connected to the smoke alarms. On the surface, everything may have appeared to be in place but when it comes to smoke alarms looking like they are installed is not the same as being safe & compliant.
🚨Smoke alarms are there to be potentially life saving & provide early warnings in the event of a fire.
If they aren't correctly installed, powered, interconnected & tested accordingly they may not operate when they are needed most!
⚠️We want to remind home owners, buyers and builders that having electrical work completed by a professional, qualified licensed electrician gives you peace of mind that the work has been carried out correctly and safely.
❌️ Dont take short cuts
❌️ Don't assume its compliant because its there
✅️ Get it checked by a qualified electrician
🔌 Qualified electrician = Correct installation.
🔌Quality testing = Compliance & Safety.
It’s not just electrical work, its about protecting your life!👨👩👧👦
