Balladonia is the first stop east of Norseman on the Eyre Highway crossing, 11.5 hours from our warehouse.

Three days were spent on site to install footings for five structures at a Nullarbor roadhouse. The site needed footings for off-grid power: three solar arrays, a generator and a kiosk.

The logistics case for concrete-free footings makes itself once you're past Norseman. Nothing to batch, and no cure window sitting between the crew and the return drive. Drive out, drive piles, bolt the frames down, drive home.

A whole home, up on steel and concrete-free!

This modular build near Gidgegannup sits on concrete-free footings: our steel footings make foundations easier to install, more accessible and are sustainable. New footings under a century-old house, and no concrete needed.

Under the floor of this beautiful heritage home in Guildford, the original footings had done their time. The usual heritage fix is awkward: dig out the subfloor by hand, work concrete into a low, tight crawl space, then cart the spoil back out through finished rooms.

We took concrete out of the equation. Each footing is a steel plate with piles driven through it into the ground, holding through skin friction and end bearing. The gear is carried in by hand and set in clearances no excavator could reach. No formwork and no wet concrete. Nothing to cart out. The footings take load the moment they're driven, so the trades can keep moving the same day.

Engineered to Australian Standards, with computations and a BCA compliance certificate from a registered engineer where required.

Heritage work is where tight access and cure time cost you most. This takes both off the table.

A public playground at Wilson Park, built around established gum trees.

Mature trees and new footings don't usually get along. Concrete footings mean post holes, spoil, and an excavator working inside the root zone — exactly where you don't want one if the trees are staying.

This site went in differently. Galvanised steel pile caps, set out around the canopies and driven on multi-directional micropiles. No excavation. No spoil to cart off. No concrete truck on a public reserve. The caps take load the moment they're in, so the structure goes up the same day, and each one adjusts for plumb and level on uneven ground.
The footings are engineered to Australian Standards, with BCA-compliant computations provided by a registered engineer.

For councils and builders working in tree-protection zones, heritage landscapes or anywhere a dig is a problem, that's the whole point: a structural footing that leaves the ground — and the roots — largely as it found them.

No concrete truck ever made it onto this block — and it didn’t need to.

A steep coastal sand slope in Mullaloo: the type of site where conventional footings entail retaining, excavation, and plenty of waiting. Instead, the entire modular home is perched on driven steel surefoot stumps. No concrete, no excavation, no dirt to haul away, no curing time. The footings were installed, and the build went directly on top.
