Last Thursday the EnviroTec team had a day out of the office at Xperiences HQ in Twin Waters.

We started with survival skills, which was a good lesson in how much easier things are when everyone works together, then moved on to gel blasting, where that lesson was immediately forgotten.

Lunch at Maroochy River Golf Club was the perfect way to finish, and a good chance for everyone to sit down together away from the usual day to day.

A big thanks to Ray for looking after us and running a great day, and to our team for getting stuck in.

Greenscapes + Green Expo brought the whole industry under one roof at BCEC last week, nursery production, landscaping and urban greening together for the first time.

Thanks to everyone who came by the stand. The conversations that stuck with us were about growing space: how to protect plants through summer, how to get more usable area out of an existing site, and what a structure needs to stand up to when the weather turns.

The ROI calculator got a workout. Plenty of people were surprised by what the numbers said once they put their own site into it.

Over 100 growers came through Hervey Bay's nurseries today for the Greenlife Industry tour. Big turnout, good conversations, a very good day.

Our vented roof tunnelhouse on site pulled a real crowd. People stopped, looked it over and asked the questions that matter. How is it built. How does it hold up. How does it perform through a Queensland summer.

The roof did most of the talking. A vented roof lets heat and humidity lift out as the day warms, so the growing climate stays steadier instead of cooking under cover. On a coast that gets real heat and heavy summer downpours, that airflow does a lot of the work.

A structure proves itself on site, under load, across seasons, not on a page. Watching growers walk through it and put it to the test tells us more than any spec sheet.

Thanks to Greenlife Industry QLD and Fernland for putting together a great day, and to everyone who came through. Forty years in, days like this are still the best part of the job.
